Resumen
En las zonas rurales del país, se ha tenido deficiencias en el manejo del turismo como información turística
desactualizada del territorio y carencia de material informativo turístico oficial. Esta realidad generó un convenio
entre el Consejo Nacional de Gobiernos Parroquiales Rurales (CONAGOPARE) provincia Pichincha y el Instituto
Superior Tecnológico de Turismo y Patrimonio Yavirac para la realización de trabajos de titulación, con los cuales
se investigó esta realidad y se propuso soluciones. En este contexto, se desarrolló en la Parroquia Rural Yaruquí una
investigación con enfoque cualitativo partiendo de la idea de que la información turística estaba desactualizada y no
se contaba con material informativo turístico, luego se revisó la literatura existente, se realizó una inmersión inicial
en el campo mediante reuniones con autoridades y visita al terreno. Después de esta validación, se determinó que
efectivamente este territorio podía ser la unidad de análisis y beneficiario de una “Propuesta para la elaboración de
una guía turística de atractivos turísticos naturales y culturales en formato físico y digital del año 2018 para el GAD
Parroquial de Yaruquí Cantón Quito de la Provincia de Pichincha” en la cual se aplicó el relevamiento turístico y
TICS a fin de sistematizar de manera adecuada la realidad turística de este territorio rural. La guía turística propuesta
Yaruquí 2018 incluyó: presentación del documento, resumen del Ecuador, descripción de la parroquia, indicaciones
de cómo llegar, la sistematización por zonas de los recursos y atractivos turísticos del territorio, recomendaciones,
información y contactos de interés, prestadores de servicios, créditos.

Abstract
In rural areas of the country, Ecuador has had shortcomings in tourism management as outdated tourist information
and lack of official tourist information material. This fact caused an agreement between CONAGOPARE (National
Council of Rural Parish Goverments) of Pichincha province and Yavirac Institute of Technology in Tourism and
Heritage, this covenant was signed for the titlings projects, in wich this reality was investigated and solutions were
proposed. Accordingly, the research in Rural Parish of Yaruqui was developed with a qualitative research method
based on the idea, that tourist information was outdated and there was not available tourist information material, then
the existing theoretical framework was reviewed and the researchers made an initial immersion in the field through
meetings with authorities and field visits. After this validation, it was determinated by the researchers that this territory
could effectively be the unit of analysis and beneficiary of a “Proposal of a Tourist Guide of natural and cultural
attractives in physical and digital format of 2018 year to Parochial Government of Yaruqui Canton Quito in Province
of Pichincha”, a process in which tourist survey and ICTs were applied in order to systematize in an adequate way
the tourism reality of this rural territory. The Tourist Guide Yaruqui 2018 proposed as a solution for the problem
stated, included: presentation of the document, summary of Ecuador, description of the parish, instructions of how to
get there, the systematization of the resources and tourist attractions by zones in the territory, advices for the tourist,
information and contacts of interest, service providers and, credits.
