Resumen
Las parroquias rurales del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito, no cuentan con un presupuesto
exclusivo para el área de turismo, en este contexto el Instituto Superior Tecnológico de Turismo y
Patrimonio Yavirac, genera la carta de intención direccionada al convenio inter institucional con
el Consejo Nacional de Gobiernos Parroquiales de Pichincha CONAGOPARE Pichincha, misma
que permitió a nuestros estudiantes egresados el desarrollo de sus proyectos de titulación,
enfocados al desarrollo turístico de las parroquias, así también se evidenció la formación de
líderes conscientes de los problemas y necesidades de la sociedad, capaces de incluir en su gestión,
principios de responsabilidad social y desarrollo sostenible Con lo anteriormente expuesto, la
carrera de Guianza Turística, tuvo como objetivo formar personas comprometidas con la
sociedad, y generar proyectos donde se evidencie la transferencia de los conocimientos adquiridos
en el aula. Entre las parroquias rurales beneficiarias de la Primera cohorte institucional se
encuentran: Amaguaña, Pintag, Aloasí, Guangopolo, San Antonio de Pichincha, Conocoto,
Yaruquí, Lloa, Cotogchoa, y Alangasí. Con estos antecedentes, cada uno de los estudiantes pudo
aplicar diferentes metodologías y técnicas de investigación, mismas que permitieron alcanzar los
objetivos planteados por los involucrados. Se determinó como resultado Proyectos turísticos en
beneficio de cada una de las parroquias involucradas del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito (DMQ).

Abstract
The Metropolitan District of Quito’s rural parishes, do not have an exclusive budget for the tourism
area, in this context the Higher Institute of Tourism and Heritage Yavirac, generates the letter of
intent addressed to the inter-institutional agreement with the National Council of Governments
Parochial of Pichincha CONAGOPARE Pichincha, which allowed our graduate students the
development of their degree projects, focused on the tourism development of the parishes, as well
as the formation of leaders aware of the problems and needs of society, capable of including in its
management, principles of social responsibility and sustainable development. Consequently, the
career of Tourist Guidance, aimed to train people committed to society, and generate projects that
demonstrate the transfer of knowledge acquired in the classroom. Among the rural parishes that
benefit from the First Cohort are: Pintag, Alangasí, Guangopolo, Conocoto, Yaruquí, Amaguaña,
San Antonio de Pichincha, Lloa. With this background, each of the students could apply different
research methodologies and techniques, which allowed them to achieve the objectives set by those
involved.Tourism projects were determined as a result for the benefit of each of the parishes
involved in the DMQ.
