The reality of sex workers is characterized by precarious conditions, high levels of risk, and limitations derived from social, cultural, and legal factors that affect their rights. In this context, a systematic review of the scientific literature on occupational safety and health among this population was conducted, with the aim of analyzing the available evidence between 2015 and 2025. The search across different databases resulted in the selection of 21 studies. The findings revealed multiple physical, psychological, and social risks associated with risk perception, disease prevention, and violence. Likewise, the impact of virtual environments was identified, which has facilitated new ways of engaging in sex work, providing benefits in terms of reducing certain risks, although it has also led to the emergence of new threats. The results highlighted the need to recognize sex work as a formal labor activity and to include it in occupational health public policies. Furthermore, they emphasize the importance of developing applied interdisciplinary research aimed at strengthening labor rights, social protection, and access to adequate health services for this population.
