Interactive park of the Nariño culture “La Mestiza”

Abstract

Tourism in the Department of Nariño, has shown during the last years a significant dynamism in the increase of the number of visitors and of the small companies dedicated to the tourist promotion of the Department. Favored by a series of circumstances of topographic, climatological, ancestral cultural and religious places of varied architecture and fervor of parishioners. The Sanctuary of Las Lajas is a Catholic temple and basilica, located in southern Colombia, 7  km from the city of Ipiales and 11 km from the border with Ecuador. It is known as the most beautiful sanctuary in the world (Daily British The Daily Telegraph, 2015). Each year, it receives around 750,000 pilgrims from the nation as well as from other countries of the world, according to Sanctuary figures. The present investigation has like objective realize a study that determines the feasibility for the creation of an interactive thematic park of the nariñense culture in the corregimiento of the Lajas in the municipality of Ipiales, with the purpose of to stimulate the tourism of the region with a rescue cultural heritage that left our ancestors, allowing tourists to have an interaction with relevant aspects of culture through dance, theater, gastronomy, landscape wealth, religion, among others. All these representations are developed in a path formed by stations in which the tourist through simulations and an experiential tour has an experience of knowledge and fun around the culture of Nariño. It is highlighted that it is a research with quantitative paradigm, analytical empirical approach and descriptive type.
