Abstract

The objective of this paperwork is to create an Area of Development and Innovation of Marketable Products and Services attached to the Observatory of Business Sciences of the University of Otavalo (OBCE) which allows to support the entrepreneurial management of Ecuadorian micro-enterprises in the northern zone. The proposal is accepted by entrepreneurs and students surveyed, who acknowledge requiring advice in the stages of creation, execution and implementation of business projects. The sample consisted of 17 entrepreneurs and 93 students. The work presents an analysis of the different entrepreneurship centers that exist in other Higher Education Institutions, both public and private, as well as an analysis of the coherence of the proposal with Ecuadorian normative bodies such as the current National Development Plan and the Organic Law of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. As a result, the strategic direction of the proposed body, its functional structure, its management model and its financial viability are presented. As a conclusion of the work, it stands out that since there is no functional business incubator for the northern Ecuadorian zone, this proposal is vital for the development of innovative products and services.
