This paper presents an analysis of the problems of the Ecuadorian-Colombian border from the unstructured study approach, taking as a reference the software QDA Miner v.5, Simstat v.8 and Wordstat v.8 developed by Provalis Research. Its approach is to use text mining to present the most reviewed topics on border problems in the publications produced by the research project Desarrollo Fronterizo Ecuador Colombia. Province of Carchi - Department of Nariño PIDFEC. Analysis period 2017-2019 developed by the Universidad Politécnica Estatal del Carchi. The methodology was descriptive, it was developed under the modality of documentary research, taking as a basis 13 books, 17 scientific articles and 22 national or international presentations made in the text mining technique research project.
10 word cloud maps were obtained that analyze each component and its strategies, the main results show the need to design a sustainable and sustainable management model for cross- border territorial development and how multilevel governance can generate relevant public policies in the short, medium and long term. Furthermore, mechanisms such as the Binational Brotherhood and the Observatory of the Ecuador-Colombia Border Integration Zone can integrate robust programs and projects to improve living conditions in this area.
